The Rt Rev Paul Swarbrick visited the school on Friday 22 October 2021 to commemorate the official opening of St John Henry Newman School with the celebration of Holy Mass in joy and thanksgiving to Almighty God and in hope of grace and future blessings.
Well done to Year 7 pupils who represented the school on Friday in the County Schools Cross Country event at QEGS. Chloe B crossed the line in 49th place with Charley R following in 63rd out of 115. Congratulations to Olivia Dembinska in 7API for competing in the British Youth Sailing Regional Junior Championships at the weekend on Derwent reservoir. She came in sixth place overall, but was first female finisher.

As part of National Science Week, Year 7 were invited to take part in the `design a lab coat competition' during form time. The top five winning entries will now be entered into a national schools competition.
