Water is Life

walk-for-water

During Lent we are asking staff and pupils to participate in the Cafod Walk for Water campaign. This involves committing to walking 10,000 steps per day in Lent. Please follow the government guidelines when exercising outdoors. We would normally ask for students to be sponsored for this task but given the current circumstances we are asking for donations instead. Please donate what you can, no donation is too small.

Abdul, 8, Ethiopia

"Water is life"

The last year has demonstrated the importance of clean water. Sadly, not all our global neighbours have access to this vital resource.

Abdul and Mohammed live in the Afar region of Ethiopia. It is one of the hottest places on Earth. Water is scarce and people make perilous journeys to collect water. Abdul and Mohammed's cousin Abdella makes the five-hour round trip twice a day so that everyone has enough to wash with and to drink.

However you Walk for Water, or whatever you are able to do, the money you give and the funds you raise will make a real difference to the lives of those whose need is the greatest.
