Role Overview:
Assist with preparing, cooking, and serving meals to students. Help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment and support smooth daily food service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and assist with cooking hot and cold meals.
· Support food prep tasks including baking.
· Keep kitchen, equipment, and service areas clean and hygienic.
· Assist with dishwashing and storing deliveries.
· Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures.
Qualifications:
· Experience in a kitchen or catering role.
· Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
· Understanding of safe food handling and cleanliness standards.
· Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
St John Henry Newman Catholic School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Kitchen Team Leader and Assistant Cook to join our dedicated team. This is a temporary post to commence Tuesday 6th January 2026 to Friday 13th February 2026 with the possibility of an extension to this date.
