Year 10 Visit to UCLan

This week a group of Year 10 pupils visited UCLan in Preston to learn about their business and management courses on offer and enjoyed a tour of the campus.  They took part in a range of academic sessions including stocks and shares and business and finance.

Level 3 Bikeability Training

Well done to the pupils who took part in the Level 3 Bikeability training this week. The instructors from Cyclewise had lots of praise for the way the pupils conducted themselves during the training as they developed their knowledge, skills, and confidence to cycle safely on the roads. Spring Term Art Competition

Pupils in all Year groups are invited to create a piece of work or nominate a piece of work they have displayed on the Gallery of Fame in T6 for the competition. Royal Institution of Science Show

We were delighted to have been awarded another Royal Institute of Science show grant for Year 7 and Year 8 pupils. The show took place in school and over 300 pupils got the to experience a science show,, usually only available in National Science museums.

Year 11 Scientists - Dissecting Skills

Year 11 triple scientists were displaying excellent dissecting skills in their practical session this week. The kidney was dissected to identify kidney tubules and the various structures in the kidney.
